Winners get World Cup dream balls courtesy of GSD Marketing Ltd

Alexander Gauci and Ryan Cassar were both lucky winners of an official Brazuca football from the actual World Cup 2014. Both participated in a competition organised by GSD Marketing Ltd, local bottlers of Coca-Cola, on TVM2's Kontrattak sports programme.

The balls, which have been framed in a customized Coca-Cola stand, are from the Argentina vsSwitzerland (1:0) match in Brazil. Winning this game Argentina had qualified for the quarter finals. The winning goal had been scored by Angel Di Maria following a Lionel Messi's pass during the extra time.

At the 2014 World Cup, Messi led Argentina to the final, winning four consecutive Man of the Match awards in the process, and received the Golden Ball award as the best player of the tournament.

The digital World Cup Dream Ball Competition was held through the MyCoke Malta Facebook page and Kontrattak programme between last November 30 and December 21. Apart from the main prize, there were a further 100 consolation prizes for the participants who received products from GSD Marketing Ltd.

"As an active supporter of sports and physical activity, Coca-Cola has been very present in the last World Cup. Acknowledging the enthusiasm that the Maltese audience always show for the world cupwe gave competitors the chance to claim a piece of 2014 FIFA World Cup history andwin footballs used during the  matches," said Head of Marketing Albert Gouder.
