Tuesday, 10 February 2015, 14:15 Last update: about 11 years ago

As is tradition, Valletta residents, and all those enjoying the first major public holiday of the year, took to the streets of the capital to celebrate St Paul’s arrival in Malta. And the weather could not have been better.

To commemorate the shipwreck of the Apostle St. Paul on the Maltese Islands, an event which took place in 60 AD and which is recorded in the Acts of the Apostles, members of parliament from both sides of the house gather together to celebrate mass, led by Apostolic Administrator Charles Scicluna.

As was Opposition leader Simon Busuttil and speaker Anglu Farrugia.

The Church was bedecked in its best drapes for the occasion
