Carnival is always a joyous time in Malta, filled with political satire, dance and best of all… costumes.

This newsroom contacted a number of costume suppliers around the islands and have uncovered the most popular costumes being sold for this carnival season.

For girls, Princesses Anna and Elsa (above) from Disney’s movie hit Frozen top the list, along with Princess Aurora (below).

Superheroes look to be the in-trend for boys, with the ever-popular Batman and Spiderman costumes standing alongside Iron Man as well as cowboy costumes.
