The sheer scale of atrocities being committed

Sunday, 22 February 2015, 08:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

In Syria, Ukraine, Libya and elsewhere around the globe, the shelling continues without respect for human dignity and without the slightest hope of abating. The number of civilian deaths keeps escalating...

European citizens continue watching the show; they are simply a bunch of spectators idly witnessing this living tragedy, this blood-soaked drama evolving in front of their eyes. Meanwhile, hundreds of innocent victims are being slaughtered or scarred for life!

Politicians, with their usual blah-blah-blah, don't seem to give a damn; for them it's business as usual as they go about their work dressed in smart clothes with that carefree smile on their face. They even manage to shop at weekends and include physical exercise in their daily programme to remain as fit as fiddles!

This wickedness has to be condemned. In this day and age, the death of so many civilians is unacceptable. This campaign of terror is being carried out at such a fast pace that we have no time to remain passive. Europe has to react to what is happening.
