The anti-terrorism group Site is reporting that a jihadist is warning Italy that the Mediterranean will become a sea of blood if Italya enters into a war with the Islamic State.

Italian media report that the Search for International Terrorist Entities (Site) warned Italy not to involve itself in the war against the Islamic State (IS) and thus avoid the Mediterranean Sea "being coloured using the blood of [its] citizens".

Italy's Home Affairs Minister Angelino Alfano said that Italy state of alert is at its highest levels and that controls are in place on who is entering the country.
