Greek bailout talks wrap up for the day, to resume tomorrow via teleconferencing

Tuesday, 31 March 2015, 14:32 Last update: about 12 years ago

Talks between Greece and its creditors over budget reforms the country is proposing to unlock remaining bailout funds have wrapped up for now in Brussels.

A Greek government official said today that technical teams of the 19-nation eurozone's finance ministries, known as the EuroWorking Group, are to hold further discussions via teleconference tomorrow.

The official said both sides agreed to intensify a fact-finding mission on the proposed Greek reforms.

Greece is fast running out of cash needed to repay debts and keep the country functioning.

The disbursement of funds remaining in Greece's bailout - more than €7 billion - has been delayed as the new Greek government, elected in January, tries to assure creditors it has a credible economic reform plan.
