A €3 million project for the regeneration of Antoine de Paul square in Paola was launched yesterday. This is part of a series of projects the government is carrying out in collaboration with the council for the south of Malta.

Addressing a press conference yesterday, Minister Helena Dalli said that this project is set to create more open space for the public and improve consumers’ shopping experience in Paola.

Architect Christopher Mintoff explained that the project will offer a new concept on our islands with the creation of an urban garden. A number of trees are expected to be planted across the square. A pedestrian pathway will be created from MCAST to Gnien is-Senerita and fountain entitled Ulied Pawla will be built.

The project is set to be completed by the end of the current legislature.
