Qala Museum funds gone astray?

Sunday, 12 April 2015, 08:25 Last update: about 12 years ago

When visiting Qala earlier this year, I was very impressed by the folklore museum that has been set up there.

However, I was much less impressed when I discovered that the three showcases, two of which can be seen in this photo, cost the princely sum of €33,000! These glass and aluminium showcases are similar to shower cubicles which cost between €180 and €300, so why have these cost over €10,000 each? They are not made of crystal glass and gold! Where has the rest of the money gone? Could the mayor and his posse kindly supply the answer?

I call on whoever is in charge of monitoring the Local Councils Directorate to investigate these transparent cases lacking in transparency.
