IP CCTV and PSIM was the topic of a seminar recently organised by Alberta. The seminar served as a platform to update the industry with the latest trends and technologies in crime prevention using CCTV and Physical Security Information Management (PSIM). Adrian Cutajar, Alberta’s Sales Manager, explained how by the end of 2020, IP CCTV sales will reach 32 billion US dollars whilst PSIM sales will reach 835 million US dollars at a staggering growth of 20% per annum. Alberta has always been the leader in implementing such technology in Malta and has successfully commissioned several high profile projects.

The seminar was attended by security specialists, engineers and IT managers from both private and public entities who were interested in better understanding of the latest advancements in these technologies.

Foreign speakers, Roberto Licari, AdvancisSales Manager, GuenterLanda, Advancis Managing Director, andCorradoGrandin, Avigilon Key Account Sales Manager, gave live presentations and demonstrations during the seminar.  Roberto Licariexplained how security managers can monitor various security systems using one software platform which manages all andCorradoGrandin explained the value of megapixel cameras and stressed the importance of image quality in CCTV. Avigilon developed IP cameras that can reach up to 29 megapixels in resolution, the highest in the market to date.
