Jack and his beanstalk

The adult panto for this summer!

If you happen to be round Valletta during the evenings this month, there is a good chance you might hear some weird noises or some maniacal laughter.

If so... investigate at your own peril. You see Steve Hili and his adult-panto gang are gearing up for the raunchiest, rowdiest, and most ridiculously funny show of the year - Jack and his beanstalk... and rehearsals are in full swing.

If you disturb them, you might see some things that cannot be seen. Ever.

Yes it is a panto. Yes it is for adults. And yes it is going to be held in summer.

Steve came up with the concept and wrote it, putting together the hugely successful Puss in Boots last year. Described as having "thrown restraint to the wind" and playing to sold-out audiences, it was very quickly decided that the adult panto in summer should become a yearly event.
And this year's show is bigger, badder and even more boisterous than last year's offering.

Featuring some of Malta's top comic talent including Colin Fitz, PJ Xerxen, Pia Zammit, Chiara Hyzler, Steffi Thake, Maxine Aquilina, Joe Depasquale, Naomi Said and Steve himself who is taking a break from his comedy work in London to come back to Malta for the show. This will be a journey unlike any other, from a cannibalistic giant to beanstalks via zombies, an out-of-control dame, some raving hormones and of course spring hunting and the ODZ (plus some Gaffarena references).  It is naughty. It is silly. It is mad!

Jack and his beanstalk will be performed in the air-conditioned comfort of Sir Temi Zammit Hall at The University Theatre on Saturday, 4 July and Saturday, 11 July. Ample free parking is available in the grounds.

Tickets are currently available at ticketline.com.mt from only €12.
