The champions repeated the same score of the previous round, against the same Exiles, to momentarily go to sole top position in the standings. They had Dorian Pisani as their mentor, with the suspension of coach, Zoran Mustur, from their victory over San Giljan. At the other end there was the return from suspension for Exiles' coach, Maurizio Mirarchi, who missed their narrow defeat by Sliema.
It was exiles who started well enough, to enjoy two leads, at 1-0 and 3-1, before Neptunes began to exercise their control over the match, and scored three times before the end of the opening session. Exiles then replied to the first two Neptunes' strikes, in the next period, only for the champions to score three more goals in a row, and go in at halftime, on a 9-5 advantage.
After the break Exiles began to feel the brunt of the champions' pressure, and conceded four goals without any reply. In the last quarter Exiles fell further behind, when Neptunes put in Matthew Castillo in goal, vice their usual Alan Borg Cole. Castillo suffered two quick goals, before he settled down and parried all that was thrown at him till the end of the match, with Neptunes closing down the encounter with the last three goals of the game.
Neptunes converted all of their five man ups, and Exiles failed in their first two, before scoring at the third time.
Thrre Neptunes players, the Camilleri brothers, Steve and Jordan, along with Peter Biros, all scoreda poker of goals. Exiles had Romain Blary and skipper, Kayne Lanzon, scoring twice.

M'Scala overcame the M'Xlokk hurdle, to claim a sole second position in the league table, three points behind leaders, Ta Xbiex. Thier win came as a reply to their defeat by M'Xlokk, in the opening round, although they had also beaten them in the Sportswriters Cup, at the start of the season.
It was M'Xlokk with the better start, as they twice led their opponents, before M'Scala tied the score, in the openin g session. After that it was M'Scala who forged in front, on a double advantage, and they were 7-5 ahead at the interval.
After the break M'Xlokk managed to go on level terms, only for M'scala to twice regain their lead, and they began the last period on a slight 9-8 advantage. After M'Xlokk had replied to M'Scala's opening strike in this session, M'Xlokk then fell away, allowing M'Scala to make sure of the result, as they poured in four goals in succession, and end on a bright note.
M'Xlokk could only score twice from their six man ups, but M'scala, with the same number of expulsions, only failed once, and managed five goals.
Matyas Pasztor grabbed four goals, and Matthew Pace and Jean Claude Cutajar scored hat tricks for M'Scala. M'Xlokk had their duo, of foreigners, Milos Korolija and Ivan Vuksanovic, also with three goals apiece.
