CAACUPE, Paraguay — When Pope Francis was archbishop of Buenos Aires, he often visited the Villa 21 slum where many Paraguayan immigrants live, celebrating baptisms at their church, Our Lady of Miracles of Caacupe. On Saturday, Francis will celebrate Mass at the original Caacupe shrine, the most important pilgrimage site in Paraguay.

PRINCE ALBERT, Saskatchewan — Wildfires in Saskatchewan burn out of control, with one blaze more than five times the size of the province's largest city, Saskatoon, officials say. Fires also rage in British Columbia and Alberta.
