Thank you for delivering a long-awaited and well-merited shake-up to the Brussels bigheads; with the undeniable ticket that there is much more to us Europeans than the bankers, technocrats and large assortment of bureaucrats, very comfortably sitting at our expense in Belgium, would have us believe.

Tsipras’ resounding victory of+61 per cent over the NAI-campaigners has come as a big shock to them. For long years, from their Ivory Tower, they haughtily brushed aside and silenced any dissent by all means at their disposal, but mainly by an incessant propaganda machine and the blatant overselling of a nirvana-type of bliss to be enjoyed once we’re made to stick, knowingly or quite unconsciously, to their big-crap dictates. Most, if not all, such arguments, running into tons of paper, are discussed to a pulp, well above the heads of the majority of us: that odd conglomeration of +500 million souls that populate this land!!

It is also hoped that the events realised in Greece recently will serve as a healthy eye-opener to our Representatives, but particularly our MEPs on the Malta – Brussels run!

It is poignant that once again it was left to a little Greek to rekindle the flame of social democracy in our Europe.
