Mapfre Middlesea CEO Alfredo Muñoz recently won the prestigious CSR Entrepreneur of the year Award during the Top Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2015 organised by MBR Publications on Friday 10th July 2015. These awards recognise the business achievements and contribution to society of Malta's top entrepreneurs and business people. The Malta's Best CSR Entrepreneur of the year award honours individuals who lead companies with successful CSR policies which form an essential part of the core business.
Finalists at Top Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards are assessed by an independent panel of judges from prolific and high profile organisations, most of whom have previously participated in the Top Entrepreneur Of The Year Award gala evening held the previous year.
MAPFRE Middlesea has always been at the forefront of CSR in Malta. The Group is cognisant that they form part of society and that they should be in a position to give something back where they can by supporting and contributing towards a number of initiatives in Malta. Mapfre Middlesea's employees also benefit from an Employee Volunteering Program, whereby a number of working hours can be allocated to doing volunteering; one of the initiatives undertaken in this program was the restoration of Majjistral Park. Amongst other initiatives, Fundación Mapfre supported two nationwide educational campaigns which so far reached over 15,000 children and their parents.
