When the Opposition leader decided to order his parliamentary group to vote against each amendment of SPED, he not only shot himself in the foot once but 15 times, which is the number of "division" calls the Opposition made during that marathon evening in Parliament when it adjourned at 3am!
Most of the amendments had been proposed by e-NGOs while another amendment had been made by the Opposition and also accepted by the government! What is even more condemnable is the fact that this destructive behaviour of the Opposition came when the previous day the government side had shown magnanimity when accepting the Opposition's request not to take the vote on SPED on Wednesday, even though the government had 30 members present and only seven Opposition MPs were present at 9pm!
The more Dr Simon Busuttil speaks about wanting to clean up politics, and then does the contrary, the more he is undermining the little credibility he may have left.
