Due to works on the coast road,  residents of Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq have to pass from a very narrow road to access their area of residence and a chaos is being created because the road only allows one vehicle to pass at a time.

Triq ir-Ridott has been closed off and passengers have to use the alternative route – Triq Santa Klara.

The contractor, RM Construction Ltd, posted a notification letter to some of the residents, but not all residents were informed. The Naxxar Local Council and The Administrative Council for Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq were not notified either.

The road is expected to open again this evening and will close again on Friday when another layer of asphalt will be applied.

Transport Malta kindly asked drivers to follow signs and instructions on site.
