Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil should take action against deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami after he lied about his connection to Gaffarena, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said this morning.
Today, local newspaper It-Torca reported that Dr Fenech Adami represented the Gaffarena family in at least three cases. In addition, Malta Today reported that former PN secretary-general Joe Saliba purchased a block of apartments in Paceville together with Joe Gaffarena, four months after he resigned from his post within the party.
Dr Muscat said that the Nationalist Administration left behind tangled webs which undermined the system, and the Labour government is now working to clean up those webs.
The Prime Minister said that Malta’s economy is the fastest growing in Europe, adding that the unemployment rate is at its lowest and fuel prices ranking among the lowest within the EU.
He noted that the he inaugurated the first foreign investment in Gozo in 20 years, after he managed to convince RS2 to expand its offices in Gozo, with a number of Gozitan employees already transferred there.
