Weather sites are predicting the possibility of another August thunderstorm on Tuesday, with rain also expected on Wednesday.

On Saturday, the Maltese Islands were hit with a heavy thunderstorm, with strong winds and a sudden downpour that caught many unawares. While rain is not unusual in the week leading up to the Santa Marija feast, what happened on Saturday was quite rare for the time of the year it happened.

And now it seems that Malta is in for another thunderstorm in mid-August.

The Meteorological Office at MIA is forecasting rain and thunder for Tuesday, and other weather sites are also predicting this kind of weather.

There is also a good possibility that it rains on Wednesday too, but the weather is expected to return to being sunny and warm for the weekend.
