A Czech 22-year-old woman who went missing while swimming at Ghajn Tuffieha this morning was found near the Majjistral Park this morning.

The woman went swimming at Ghajn Tuffieha Bay with a 23-year-old man at 4am.

The man returned to the shore to get a towel from his car and when he returned the woman was nowhere to be seen.

Mosta police and Armed Forces of Malta personnel were on site together with a number of divers to search for the woman. A helicopter is also being used in the search. 

The woman was found disoriented by a man near the Majjistral Park at about 10.30am. He gave her assistance and then called the police who, in turn, ascertained that she was the woman who had gone missing a few hours earlier.
