Spinola Bay is again fit for swimming, the Environmental Health Directorate said.

The Directorate is taking the necessary steps to repair the damage in the drainage system, and following repeated sampling of seawater carried out on a daily basis during the last days, the area in the vicinity of a hotel situated in Spinola Bay, St Julian’s, is once again fit for bathing and thus the health warning is hereby being lifted.

In the following hours , the signs affixed in the past days will be removed.

The Directorate reminded the public that bathing in the area of the Dog Friendly Beach in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq is still not recommended.

The public is being encouraged to abate by these instructions.
