The 18-year-old reenactor who was injured during a mock sword fight is no longer in intensive care and his condition has improved, the police said today.

The man was hit by a sword during a re-enactment exercise at Fort Rinella on Tuesday. The man, of Tarxien, was taking part in a duel demonstration with a colleague, a 25-year-old of Santa Venera, when the accident happened.

The police did not say where the man was hit. It said, however, that there was no indication of malicious intent.
