The council of Mosta has proposed the development of an underground car park beneath the Mosta square.
This morning the council met up with Minister Owen Bonnici, after mayor Edwin Vassallo had sent a letter to the Prime Minister proposing two projects – the underground car park and the re-introduction of a bus terminus.
Writing on Facebook, Mr Vassallo said that a car park would be beneficial, allowing for more commerce in the Mosta square. He also suggested that to allow for flow of traffic at Eucharistic Congress road, the government should again introduce a bus terminus in Mosta.
He said that such projects should be owned by the government. “ It is not important who carries out the project, but rather, that it’s done. I want the best for Mosta and not credit for myself,” he wrote.
He called on the government to take the projects into consideration, adding that it is crucial for businesses in Mosta.
