The Aurora Opera House is pleased to announce that world-class soprano Elena Mosuc will be leading the cast of the 2015 production of La Traviata in the role of Violetta. She will toast the most famous brindisi of all with Stefano Pop, who shall feature in the role of Alfredo, while household name Marzio Giossi returns to the Aurora as Giorgio Germont.

With Mosuc, the Aurora is indeed promising nothing short of world-class. Fresh from resounding La Traviata successes at the Teatro alla Scala (Milan), the Bavarian State Opera, the Verona Arena and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, she is due to appear again as Violetta Valery in Berlin in 2016, right after her Malta debut.

Stefano Pop

All great opera houses, theatre masters and orchestra directors feature prominently on her curriculum, as they do on Romanian-born tenor's Stefano Pop's track record. Despite his young age, Pop has already appeared at Royal Opera House Covent Garden, La Scala (Milan), the Wiener Staatsoper and other keynote houses in Germany, Tel Aviv, Zurich, Italy, Moscow and St Petersburg. Winner of several competitions, Stefano Pop has recently appeared in concert with Angela Gheorghiu in Oman.
