A 14-year-old Gozitan boy died today, two months after he was seriously injured in an accident in Gozo, the police told The Malta Independent.
The boy, James Xuereb, from Ghajnsielem, suffered neck injuries when a friend of his accidentally jumped on him from a height while he was swimming at Xatt l-Ahmar, limits of his hometown.
The boy had been brought over to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries this morning at about 8am.
