A 35-year-old man from Pieta was grievously injured in a traffic accident which occurred this morning at Qormi.

The police said the incident occurred at about 7 a.m. in Main Street, Qormi. The victim was driving a Honda that was involved in a collision with a BMW driven by a 24-year-old man from Qormi.

An ambulance rushed the 35-year-old to Mater Dei Hospital where he was later certified to be suffering from grievous injuries. He is not in critical condition. The other driver was not injured.
Police investigations are ongoing.
