As the PN’s theme for this year’s Independence celebrations is “135 years of the PN for Malta”, I would like to ask whether Dr Simon Busuttil will present these facts, since they are part and parcel of the PN’s political history throughout the past 135 years:

1. That the PN was against one vote for all male adults.

2. Was against the vote for women.

3. Was against the introduction of income tax.

4. Was against the first monetary benefit introduced.

5. Had voted against the many social benefits introduced by Dom Mintoff.

6. Had voted against the vote for 18-year-olds.

7. Had not backed the introduction of civil unions.

There are quite a number of other measures which the PN has either not backed or voted against, but I guess the above gives a good picture of the real PN from the picture Dr. Simon Busuttil will be trying to give during the mass meeting!
