Two people were hospitalised following separate incidents in St Paul's Bay this afternoon.
A man found himself in difficulty while in swimming in a pool at an establishment in Triq il-Qawra. Meanwhile another individual was hit by a car in Triq San Pawl. The man who found himself in difficulty in a pool is in danger of dying, police said.
The condition of the man hit by a car is not yet known.
