19-year-old goalkeeper Neptunes goalkeeper Matthew Castillo will be training with Sicilian club Ortigia as from Friday.

The youngster will be joining his Maltese compatriot Steve Camilleri, also a Neptunes player, who has been playing in Italy for several years.

Castillo is the reserve goalkeeper of Neptunes’ senior squad, which this year finished in second place in the championship, won by San Giljan.

He is the club’s regular Under 20 goalkeeper. He joined Neptunes from Sliema in 2013.
