An Animal Welfare Fund was launched today by the parliamentary secretary for animal rights Roderick Galdes.

The €40,000 fund is intended to help non-governmental organisations involved in the sector, and is aimed to improve the treatment and care of animals and create a better cooperation between the NGOs.

The fund is available to improve sanitary facilities, veterinary services and dog and cat neutering campaigns.
