A man who was hungry for the usually frugal pastizzi snack ended up paying €250 for his urges after a court found him guilty of breaching his bail conditions.

Francis Cassar admitted to buying the pastizz from a well-known Rabat pastizzeria in breach of a curfew imposed as part of his bail conditions.

Magistrate Joe Mifsud warned Mr Cassar that any such behavior in future will not be tolerated and imposed a fine €250.

Inspector Jonathan Ferris prosecuted.
