HandsOn Systems recruits project specialist as CCO

Leading local telematics, GPS tracking and fleet management specialist HandsOn Systems today announces the appointment of Simon Bugeja as Chief Commercial Officer. This will enable HandsOn Systems to take on more ambitious projects and roll out a range of exciting new services both in Malta and internationally.

Mr Bugeja is a former Operations Manager with a medical supplies company and a project co-ordinator focusing on renewables. He is highly active in radio broadcasting and has a passion for working with emergency rescue services, including importing and custom building emergency vehicle lighting and equipment. He has a telecommunications and electronics engineering background and was at school with HandsOn Systems CEO Geoffrey Farrugia.

Commenting on Mr Bugeja's appointment, Mr Farrugia said: "I have known Simon since our childhood and have been looking for an opportunity to work with him for a number of years. I am confident that, as a result of this new appointment, HandsOn Systems will be able to accelerate its growth, secure new contracts and make a quality leap, taking it into new markets, both geographically and in terms of product development."

Mr Bugeja said: "I am looking forward to this new, exciting challenge, working closely with Geoff to continue to build a professional structure at HandsOn Systems. Apart from my responsibilities for HR, operations and business development, I want to make sure that the company continues to retain its focus and leading edge position in technology."
