The General Workers Union ordered industrial action in public transport in Gozo on Sunday, the union said in a statement.
The directives were issued after Malta Public Transport issued a roster that is not according to the collective agreement.
The union has informed the company that the new working schedule for drivers goes beyond the established shift-times. The union has ordered its workers not to work beyond the 9 and a half hours, break-time included, as established in the collective agreement.
