Elderly man dies in Rabat crash, police investigating if death was caused by impact

An 88-year-old man died after he was involved in a traffic accident in Rabat.

The man, who is from Rabat, was driving a Lada Samara which collided with a Fiat Punto in Triq Sant’ Aristarku. The Fiat was being driven by a 33-year-old woman, who is also from Rabat. The police did not say anything about her condition.

The police said in a statement that investigations are underway to determine whether the elderly man died as a cause of the impact or not.

Duty Magistrate Gabrielle Vella is holding an inquiry.
