The Italian company leader of the Smart Design opens a new showroom at Ideacasa, the company's historical partner. A professional relationship, between Calligaris' Italian design brand and Ideacasa, one of Malta's leading furniture retailer stores. Mr. Calligaris, founder and owner of the Calligaris Group visited Malta to open the store on November 5th, 2015.
A deep rooted exclusive partnership, which becomes even stronger with this new opening. Inside the large Ideacasa multibrand Store, a new showroom with an innovative space dedicated entirely to Calligaris. A ground floor area covering more than 300 sqm, which has been completely renovated from scratch adopting a trendy, forward looking design based on an industrial look yet complemented by warm colors and natural light thanks to its large windows.
The interiors are arranged according to the corporate display concept and include various thematic areas and product ranges, which best represent the Calligaris Italian Smart Design.
With the entire collection on display (chairs, tables, complements, sofas, beds and object), the store offers a complete range of beautifully made, designer products, which are not only versatile and ergonomic but also smart and functional. Just to name a few pieces: the Omnia table and the Urban sofa, Sami and Gamera chairs, the Lazy armchair, Hampton bad and the CODE collection, a series of colourful and energetic complements created by young designers.
Despite the general economic difficulties, both domestically and at international level, 2015 continues to be a very important year for Calligaris in terms of expansion and new openings all over the world. Beside Malta, this year Calligaris opened Stores in Baku, Los Angeles, Santo Domingo and Jerusalem and Flagship Stores in Berlin and London. Oher openings in emerging markets are also planned for this year, among which Beijing and Chengdu in China, San José in Costa Rica, Abu Dhabi and Bangkok.
The Calligaris Group
Established in 1923 as a woodworking workshop, Calligaris grew and developed to become a worldwide leading company of Italian smart design. Today, Calligaris's product range covers the whole world of furniture, from chairs (the first product) to lighting, the last category to enter its range. Production is carried out in eight units in Italy (starting with its headquarters in Manzano, in the province of Udine) and abroad (with a semi‐finished wood products plant in Croatia) and branches in the United States, Japan, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Russia.
