Ties, bulbs, tyres - anything goes: bizarre Christmas trees from around the world

Many of us buy artificial Christmas trees which we decorate year after year and, after the season is over, pack it back in its box - lights and all - until the next Christmas comes.

Others buy real trees, which make it a little bit more of a challenge since they need to be watered and taken care of until it is thrown away once the festivities are over.

But there are some who are more inventive and use all kinds of objects to create their own, personal Christmas tree.
