The Żurrieq parish managed to raise €10,100 in aid of Dar tal-Providenza. The cheque was presented during the New Year's Day Feast of Generosity organised by RTK 4 Charity. The sum was raised during a number of activities organised during the month of December with the participation of the parish's altar boys. Year after year, the parish community of Żurrieq participates actively in fund-raising events for the Siġġiewi home. It is custom for most parishes in Malta and Gozo to have special collections made during masses on new year's eve and new year's day in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza in a show of solidarity.
