Employees at MAPFRE Middlesea have made a donation to Hospice Malta as part of the company's commitment to supporting philanthropic organisations and worthy initiatives in the local community.

On Tuesday 9 February, the team at MAPFRE Middlesea got creative, wearing hats, masks and wigs as part of this year's Hospice Carnival Event. In addition, employees from all departments voluntarily put forward a donation for the NGO.

Each year, Hospice provides care for more than 1,000 patients and their families - assisting them in their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.  Most of the patients are struggling with cancer, while others are receiving treatment for motor neurone disease, end stage respiratory, cardiac or renal illness.

"As a company, we are highly aware of the good work that NGOs such as Hospice does for the community we live in. It is always a pleasure for us to help out - both financially and through our Corporate Social Responsibility programme," said Assistant General Manager Fernando Docampo.
