MaltaPost donates Santa Claus letters proceeds to Inspire

Monday, 15 February 2016, 15:49 Last update: about 11 years ago

During the Christmas period MaltaPost promoted the Letter from Santa initiative which encouraged parents, grandparents and guardians to help their children write and send a letter to Santa Claus. In return, against a minimal charge, the children received a delightful personalised letter from Santa Claus himself. Proceeds from this initiative were donated to Inspire.

The donation was presented by MaltaPost's chief Commercial officer Mark Vella and MaltaPost's representative from the Customer Experience Department, Mary Grace Farrugia, who were welcomed by Inspire's Fund-raising manager Corporates & Campaigns Claire Galea and Activities coordinator Adelaide Silva at the Inspire premises in Marsascala.

Mr Vella explained that: "This Christmas MaltaPost's Santa Claus wrote numerous letters to children all over the world. This year we encouraged families to participate in this initiative while emphasising the importance of giving during such a beautiful time of the year. With this in mind we promised that the proceeds of this initiative are donated to those in need, and today we are delighted to present this donation to Inspire which was raised through the clients who ordered this letter for their children and then doubled by MaltaPost."

Ms Galea showed her appreciation for this gesture and said: "On behalf of Inspire, I would like to thank MaltaPost and all those parents and guardians who participated by ordering a personalised letter from Santa. This helped to not only put a smile on their children's faces but also to those in need."
