InterContinental Malta has proudly announced the outstanding performance of its Kitchen Brigade at the recent Malta Kulinarija 2016.
InterContinental Malta's team of chefs led by Executive Chef Paul Borg won 24 awards throughout all categories of the prestigious competition. These awards included, a Gold Award with Trophy for the 'Chef Grand Prix Team' made up of Ryan Marmarà, Paul Bajada and Byron Saliba, a Gold Award for 'Works in Chocolate' by Byron Saliba and a Silver Award with Trophy for 'Three Course Mystery Box' paring Ryan Marmarà and Brady Dalli.
The Malta Kulinarja, Cookery and Culinary Arts Championships, organised by the Malta Chef Society, was held between 18 and 21 February 2016 at MFCC. This culinary arts competition is attended by trainees, kitchen artists and chefs from Malta's top restaurants and hotels. The evaluation process includes flavour, presentation, composition, technical skills and other measurable benchmarks.
