Tomorrow’s issue of The Malta Independent on Sunday will carry an interview both with Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and with Leader of the Opposition Simon Busuttil.
Interviewed by members of the Standard Publications newsroom, they speak about the most important issues facing the country today.
In the wake of one of Malta’s most scandalous political mishaps, that of Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Keith Schembri having companies in Panama, Dr Muscat was challenged with the enormity of this issue as well as other scandals faced by his government, including the Gaffarena expropriation deal.
Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil was asked to respond to claims that he lacks control of his party, whether the PN is gearing up for the election and what he would do differently on issues such as childcare, energy tariffs and civil liberties.
Segments of the video interview will also be uploaded on www.independent.com.mt
