Waterpolo winter league: Neptunes, Marsascala secure easy victories

Neptunes Grimaldi had a relatively easy win against wooden spooners Exiles Ferretti to the tune of 8 goals to 3.

The first session ended 2-1 in favour of Neptunes with Sean Xerri de Caro and Niki Lanzon scoring for Neptunes while Kayne Lanzon replied for Exiles.

The second session saw just one goal scored by Xerri de Caro with Neptunes holding a two goal advantage at mid-session.

The third session was also shaded by Neptunes 3-1 with Lanzon, Azzopardi and Xerri de Caro scoring for the Balluta side and Kayne Lanzon grabbing one back for Exiles.

Neptunes also won the final session 2-1 to wrap up a final score of 8-3 in their favour.

Otters Nivea 11 Marsascala Nutrition Empire 19

Marsascala Nutrition Empire did not break any sweat in disposing of Otters Nivea with almost complete domination by the half way mark winning the game 19-11.

The first session went 4-3 in favour of the South seasiders with Duncan Cassar, Jean Claude Cutajar and Gabriel Mizzi getting his name on the scoresheet.

The second session went 6-2 in favour of Marsascala with goals coming from Cutajar, Duncan Cassar and Otis Zammit while Luke Hyzler and Gabriel Mizzi responded for the Gozitans.

The third session was another high scoring affair ending 4-4. Goals alternated freely with Cutajar, Cassar and Cremona on the scoresheet for Marsascala while Otters replied through Luke Hyzler and Christoph Martin.

Marsascala also took the final session 4-2 with youngster Jake Bajada and Clyde Bonello also getting on the scoresheet.
