Good Friday Pageant in Dingli 19 March

St Mary Band Club of Dingli, in collaboration with Dingli Arch Parish, will be once again holding its annual event featuring the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ along the picturesque streets of Dingli. The theme for this pageant, which was written by Rev. Fr Rene' Vella, is L-Aħħar Sebgħa. This representation has been inspired from the Year of Mercy and deals with the Last Seven phrases that Our Lord Jesus Christ uttered on the Cross.

This representation will take place on Saturday, 19 March at 5pm with the celebration of Holy Mass at Dingli Arch Parish and continues with the Pageant procession, which commences from St Mary Band Club at 5.45pm. The highlight of the pageant will be on the church's parvis, at the highest point in Dingli, with the representations about the death and resurrection of our Lord.

Over 130 actors will be taking part in this year's event. They will be accompanied by the Dingli Girl Guides and Dingli Scouts together with St Mary Band directed by Mro Richard Bugeja, FLCM, FVCM (Hons). The parish choir, Regina Coeli, directed by Mro James Chappell ALCM, LLCM, MLJ will also be participating.

The main aim and representation of this pageant is for the public to participate in the Walk of Faith and appreciate God's mercy especially during Holy Week.
