MAPFRE Middlesea extended a helping hand to St Patrick's Residential Services by organising an event for the boys who reside at the home.

A group of employees from MAPFRE Middlesea accompanied ten boys and their mentors to the National Aquarium, where they toured the premises and had lunch together. 

This event formed part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, through which the company helps out entities working for the community, both financially and through events in which employees participate.

St Patrick's is a home to 35 boys, aged between 9 and 20, coming from difficult social backgrounds. The care team members do their best to create an authentic family spirits, helping the boys achieve life skills. The Residence is set up to feel like home,  divided in different ' houses'  with private rooms for the boys and common areas in which they can interact.  The boys are provided with the necessary financial and psychological support, while being encouraged to become independent at a later stage in life.   Besides their studies, the boys participate in other activities such as drama, karate, football and art.

"One cannot put a price on the work being carried out by the team at St Patrick's.  This event is just a small way of showing our appreciation towards the entity," General Manager Fernando Docampo said.

In the upcoming months, MAPFRE Middlesea will be holding other CSR Activities with other entities contributing to the community.
