Mobile application by MAPFRE Middlesea assists client during trips abroad

MAPFRE Middlesea has just launched a new application, iTravel, which will assist clients on their trips abroad, allowing them to purchase travel insurance and seek assistance during emergencies.

The app will allow users will to view all the available prices and description of products and purchase travel insurance products through the app, using an approved payment gateway.  Clients will also be able to submit a claim and upload photos which are relevant to that claim.  The idea is to not overwhelm a user on a mobile device, but to be of assistance and capture sufficient data for follow ups to make sense.

One of the features of the app will allow users to check out nearby hospitals and clinics when they are abroad.  The app will allow the user to communicate with MAPFRE Middlesea's 24/7 contact centre via call, email or SMS and also a Call Me Back feature.

The app is compatible on all mobile devices and can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play.
