Thousands of people flocked to The Point on Freedom Day to join in the celebrations as the shopping mall marked its 6th anniversary during a day of fun activities, discounted prices... and free cupcakes for all.
Since the mall first opened its doors, in 2010, it has been celebrating its anniversary each year to thank customers for their constant support. This year the mall and Pjazza Tigné were once again buzzing with activity.
The cast of the popular television series Strada Stretta added a touch of vintage glamour during a Meet and Greet that left some shoppers starstruck.
"It's been 6 years since we first opened our doors and The Point is still as strong. We celebrate our anniversary every year and always try and come up with new activities or new offers for our customers. This year we had the funfair outside which was great due to the super weather. The Meet and Greet was also a new addition that did really well. Our customers loved it," said The Point Shopping Mall Marketing Manager Ilona Debattista.
Throughout the day shoppers benefited from slashed prices, of up to 30% on renowned brands, as well as special offers and free parking. Pjazza Tigné was turned into a children's funfair with bouncy castles, rides, magic shows and dances. The day came to a fitting end with the cutting of the cake after which cupcakes were given out.
