The following statement by the Roman pontiff was spoken at ‘The Pontifical Academy of Sciences’. “When we read about creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God as a magician with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so.”
If uttered by a Stephen Hawkins or his ilk, it would be understood since the objection of a creator, by these proponents is the order of the day.
What is baffling is the fact that these words were pronounced by the person who has given himself the title of vicar, a stand-in for Christ the Son of God who along with God the Father without the aid of a magic wand created the heavens and the earth.
Is there no one among the flock, a dissenting voice, a hint of a reformist? The silence coming from those wearing the red and crimson garb can be understood, but where is the loner crying out in the wilderness, the likes of Wycliffe, Hus, Tyndell, Luther and the many others, men of principles, men of steel, most of whom suffered at the stake during the horrors of the Spanish Inquisition instituted by no other than the society which the present Roman pontiff is proud to be its inheritor.
Is it so cosy a life wearing the habit or the modern attire that one does not dare voice a disputation at the expense of being ostracized?
Who is this man? What unseen power is manifesting in him, who is not only able to silence the multitude, but to stifle the questioning of conformity without adhering to dogmatic doctrine
