PS Jose Herrera still formulating opinion on Konrad Mizzi scandal

Neil Camilleri Wednesday, 13 April 2016, 10:51 Last update: about 11 years ago

Parliamentary Secretary Jose Herrera said he is still formulating his opinion on the Konrad Mizzi scandal and he will give it at the opportune time.

Asked by journalists this morning in the wake of comments given by Labour exponents that the minister should resign after he admitted opening a company in Panama, Dr Herrera said he is following the case and seeing what his colleagues are saying, but would not be drawn into committing himself.

It is undeniable that there is a problem and this needs to be discussed with caution and without panic, he said. He said he is convinced that a decision will be taken by Konrad Mizzi and Joseph Muscat.

He added that the opposition has a right to criticise but is being hysterical about the matter.
