186 people were charged with driving without insurance cover in 2015, with 93 being found guilty, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo said this evening.
Replying to a series of PQs by PN Deputy Leader Beppe Fenech Adami, Mr Abela said those who were found guilty of the traffic offence by the courts were fined €129,430 collectively.
On the other hand, 46 were charged with driving without having a driving license. Of these, 28 were found guilty. They were fined a total of €6, 265 by the courts.
