A delegation of Insurance Practitioners from the Estonian Traffic Insurance Fund and the Estonian Insurance Association met their counterparts from the Malta Insurance Association.  

During their two day visit they met with   practitioners from the local Insurance Industry.   Both parties   discussed developments within their respective markets and considered potential opportunities in Malta and Estonia. 

The Estonian delegation has also had the opportunity to meet representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Malta Financial Services Authority.   

Although geographically distant from each other, both the Maltese and the Estonian countries are considered to be two of the smaller member states within the European Union which share similar issues that such small markets face.  

The discussions have also enabled both sides to consider areas of cooperation between both Associations.
