Amnesia

Sunday, 8 May 2016, 09:00 Last update: about 9 years ago

My attention has been drawn to the use of the term “amnesia” in Noel Grima’s review of my paper in the book La Borsa published by the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr Grima uses this term when referring to the period of Tancred Tabone’s presidency.

With all due respect to Mr Grima, it is he who suffered from amnesia when he wrote his piece because it clearly showed that he had not read my paper properly. Had he done so, he would have seen that I had made it clear from the outset that it was about the Chamber’s past presidents who at some time in their careers occupied high positions in the history of banking in Malta. And Mr Tabone clearly does not qualify to be among these.

The title of my researched article in this wonderful book was in fact “The Chamber and Malta’s Bankers”.
